Kerala, a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. National parks like Eravikulam and Periyar, plus Wayanad and other sanctuaries, are home to elephants, langur monkeys and tigers.




Itinerary Details

Arrival at Cochin airport then transfer to hotel at Cochin. Evening go to Marine drive, back to hotel and overnight stay.

Arrival at Cochin. Then proceed to Munnar. Munnar, the famed hill station of south India, is a romantic locale where natural beauty is everywhere to visit, explore and to enjoy. Situated about 1600m above sea level, the hill station had been the summer resort of the British Government during the colonial era. On the way visit Valara and cheyyappara waterfalls. After noon to Rajamala- house of the highly endangered mountain goats - the NilgiriThars. Overnight in Munnar.

After breakfast visit to Mattupetty Lake and Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake. After noon visit Tea museum and Blossom Garden. Evening time for a bit of shopping. Overnight in Munnar.

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Kumarakom. By noon check in at house boat at Kumarakom. Kumarakom Houseboat Holidays will welcome you with fresh tender coconut waterand start cruise after a short briefing introduction; relax and enjoy the canals, rivers and backwater. At 1300 hrs, the houseboat will stop for lunch, with lavish menu of traditional Kerala cuisine (if you require any special meals like main food in North Indian or food without spice etc it has to be informed in advance). At 1500 hrs we will continue our cruise covering beautiful rivers and canals with palm trees and small houses near to it, villages, paddy fields, churches, etc. At 1700 hrs we will provide you evening coffee/tea with traditional Kerala style snacks. From 1800 hrs till next day morning 0730 hrs most of the time we will stop near the land, due to legal restrictions to allow fishermen spread their nets. Parking helps you to get great views of the sunset; you can also get a chance to go out and walk along the riverside or villages and come back. In the evening Enjoy your Dinner and leave all world behind you and have a good sleep in your floating paradise.

Morning after breakfast check out from houseboat and proceed to Cochin airport/ railway station for your onward journey or back home with everlasting memories.
